Frequently Asked Questions

See what is possible when you embrace your inner powerhouse.

Coaching is a partnership that nurtures self-awareness and accountability to realise a client’s true potential. It is based on the presupposition that everyone is born with the capability for greatness. Through conversation and methodology, coaching is based on a client-led journey of authentic exploration, and clients are given the opportunity to achieve sustainable positive change that enables success.

The role of the coach is to be insatiably curious, allowing them to artfully create thought-provoking questions that lead a client to a new realm of thinking and, in doing so, a new place of understanding and knowledge. They hold the client in a supportive space while taking them out of their comfort zone to explore and refine a new way forward. The partnership of coach and client is one of great trust and authenticity.

The role of the client is to turn up on time and be present in the sessions – ready and open to explore from an authentic space. As a client, you reap from coaching what you sow; clients who take accountability for their success and subsequently take action are the ones who will create great gains and acquire life-changing skills and knowledge.

Each session will last 60 -90 minutes online or in person (Perth, WA). It will involve identifying an area for development, deep exploration of that area, an action plan, and a resource plan for maintaining accountability. In between sessions, the coach is available to support the client through email and phone.

Do you believe you have more fuel in the tank but don’t know how to tap into it?
Do you want to take control of your career and need help figuring out where to start?
Would you like more knowledge and skills to manage yourself for consistent and sustainable productivity and success?
Do you want more energy, excitement and engagement in your role? Or with your team?
Feeling overwhelmed? Lacking in balance? Uncertain? Lost? Anxious?
Are you expecting to be discovered as an imposter in your role?
Feeling underutilised and wanting more from your role?
Want to raise your profile? Enhance your executive presence? Be considered for a promotion?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are very normal and, secondly, a very likely candidate for coaching. You don’t know what you don’t know, but you can take action based on what you know.

Firstly, coaching is forward-focused, so unlike therapy or counselling, which aim to unravel the past to enable you to move forward, coaching starts at the present and focusses on developing the awareness and skill to move forward to create the future.

Mentoring is the art of telling. It is someone who has experience of where you are right now and will share their experiences and give you the answers on how to move forward.

Coaching is the art of asking. Although it is useful to have a similar experience to the client, it is not imperative, as coaching comes from the mindset that the client has all the answers within themselves. They need the opportunity, through questioning and exploration, to know what that answer is and, in doing so, make a decision based on what meets their core needs and not someone else’s.

As each program is bespoke, we encourage you to contact us for a conversation about your requirements. We will then provide a detailed proposal outlining the recommended coaching program and associated investment.

A personal brand identifies what you want to be known for as an individual and how you will show up in the world (attitude, language, beliefs, values, messaging, personal presentation, storytelling) to shape that perception. It also focuses on making you the individual, visible and credible, providing a platform for you to be seen as an authority. This authority status opens doors and gives you visibility that brings attention to your business and creates opportunities for yourself, your team, and your business. On the other hand, business branding is about identifying how you want your business to be perceived and the visual identity to shape that (logo, fonts, colour palette etc.)

A business coach will work with you on building the skills required to excel at leading your business, often focusing on topics such as cash flow, distribution, marketing, human resources, and strategic planning. A personal brand strategist identifies what you want to be known for as a business leader – your genius zone and way of being; we work with you to shape and share your expertise consistently online and offline to create opportunities for self, team, and business. Additionally, your personal brand will define how you always show up when you undertake any of the skills required to lead, for this consistency builds trust that leads to influence.

Yes! Self-promotion isn’t a beating of the chest and bad-mouthing competition. Yes! Exposure doesn’t have to be you on a stage or being interviewed by the media. At BE, our approach to building exposure is to work with your Strengths and find ways to create natural, exciting, and fun opportunities. For some clients, exposure comes through coffee conversations; it’s in writing for others, and for a few of our extroverts, it results in launching a podcast or YouTube Channel. There is no right or wrong way to leverage your personal brand to build opportunities; it is only your way.
There is no perfect time to leap, but the program does equip you to build visibility in a way that plays to your Strengths, so the learning curve isn’t overwhelming, and we make sure to guide you to take lots of small, actionable steps that are supported by your coach all the way.
You are your brand, and every experience someone has with you shapes your reputation. How you choose to speak, act/react and what you talk about must be the same version of you as the one we see in social media or through the media. If it’s not consistent, it’s not trustworthy (you’re not trustworthy). Your reputation will shatter when you’re labelled untrustworthy, and all opportunities are lost.
