Talk Like You Mean Business.

Hi there! Welcome to this edition of our newsletter, where we explore how the way you speak shapes your executive presence and ability to influence.

Want to sound more execuitve when you speak?

You don’t need to use big words or rehearse boardroom buzzwords.

You do need to speak with clarity, calm, and conviction.

Here are 5 simple shifts that elevate how you come across:

➡️ Lead with the bottom line
Start with your point. Then give context. Executives don’t want the full backstory, they want direction.

➡️ Pause for power
Silence isn’t awkward. It shows composure and allows your message to land with weight.

➡️ Trim the fluff
Ditch the “justs,” “maybes,” and “I thinks.” The shorter the sentence, the stronger it sounds.

➡️ Own your voice
Drop the disclaimers. Say what you mean. Speak like your opinion matters, because it does.

➡️ Match your energy to the moment
Slow down when the stakes are high. Bring presence, not panic. Calm, clear and considered always wins.

None of this is about faking it.
It’s about tightening the gap between what you know and how you show it.

How we speak shapes how we’re seen.

Which one of these will you try next week?

That’s all for this week’s edition. We hope you found it inspiring and informative. As always, we’re eager to hear your thoughts and suggestions. Until next time, keep shaping opportunities and making a difference!

In your corner,
Janine
